About

pawflet publishes pet care that is free, has no accounts, and sells nothing. It is written by Chirag Sadhwani.

What this site is

Articles about cats, dogs, and the first weeks after adoption, written for someone holding a worried animal and trying to work out whether the thing that is happening is a problem. Each one answers specific questions, names the veterinary sources it draws on, and says plainly where a vet needs to take over. Nothing requires an account, a cookie banner, or a newsletter signup, and no third party receives a request when you read a page.

Who writes it

Chirag Sadhwani writes every article here, and his name is on each one. There is one author because there is one writer. He is not a veterinarian, and the site does not pretend otherwise. What it does instead is cite the veterinary bodies that are, and show you where a professional's advice overrides his. The full rules are inthe editorial policy.

How topics get chosen

Not by what trends and not by what is easy to produce. An article exists because a reader's question went unanswered somewhere, or because veterinary guidance changed and the advice we had given no longer matched it. We also watch which sections of an existing article readers spend real time in, not scroll past, because a paragraph people linger on is a paragraph that was worth writing, and often a question nobody has answered properly yet.

What we do not do

No dosage, no diagnosis, no prognosis. No product roundups. No advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored posts. No invented stories about a pet we did not have or a vet we did not visit. If we cannot source a claim, we do not make it, and we would rather publish a shorter article that is entirely true than a longer one with a plausible sentence in the middle.

Corrections and age

Veterinary advice ages, and some of what is here is already dated, we would rather show you an honestly old article than a falsely fresh one. An article shows an updated date only when its body materially changed. If something here is wrong, the corrections process says how to tell us and what happens next.

Why it is free

Because advertising money changes what gets written. It is funded by donations instead, and if it ever stops being affordable it will say so here rather than quietly acquiring sponsors.
